Rice Shochu with White Peach
Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan
Locally grown Kumamoto white peaches and a special blend of Sengetsu rice shochus. Thirty percent of Momomo is pure, ripe peach juice and pulp, creating a liqueur that tastes just like biting into a fresh peach. Momomo is also completely free of any added preservatives, artificial flavors, and colorings. Perfect for a sweet, aromatic and textural accent in cocktails, and delicious by itself, on the rocks, or poured over deserts like ice cream. 7% ABV.
Sengetsu Shuzo is a shochu distillery that was founded in 1903. Their name is borrowed from the famous and beloved Hitoyoshi Castle of Kumamoto Prefecture, which also carries a second name "Sengetsu Castle" or Crescent Moon Castle. The distillery has had a chief distiller in-house since its founding, and so proprietary techniques have been passed down through each generation. Junko Tsutsumi is the fourth-generation director of the distillery, and the second daughter of a member of the founding family. She joined Sengetsu Shuzo in 2002 as the first female president of the company.
