The grapes are harvested in mid-October. Partial cryomaceration for about 12-14 hours, following by gentle pressing. Batonnage is carried out for about 30 days, partly in steel tanks, partly in acacia barriques (20%). The wine is chilled, filtered and bottled in May of the same year. 30ppm sulfur added. Bottles produced: 5,000/year

The mineral note prevails, accompanied by ripe white fruit and yellow flowers. On the palate it is soft, full-bodied, with high acidity. Perfect with seafood or risotto, but try it with fried egg and white truffle!

The La Mura family has been producing wine in the area since the 1950s. Currently, 3rd generation Raffaele La Mura is the winemaker. Strengthened by tradition and with the enthusiasm of the new generations, Poggio delle Baccanti is dedicating increasing energy to the production and preservation of the area's typical grape varieties. Aware of the importance of territory and its connection to the local area, this company's goal is not simply to reintroduce local products, but to reintroduce a philosophy of life, thus striving to perfect the connection between land and man.

Mount Vesuvius is the only active volcano in continental Europe, and the most densely populated volcanic region in the world, with over 600,000 residents in the danger zone. Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio is the style of wine here. It translates to “Christ’s Tears on Vesuvius”. The story is that Jesus, crying over Lucifer's fall from heaven, made the vineyards of Vesuvius lush and fertile.
