In a high alpine meadow, or ‘Alpeggio,’ a magical aroma arises as the sun slowly dries the native plants and flowers that comprise wild mountain valley hay. Capturing this essence in a liqueur is a tradition that extends from Italy’s Dolomites, though the Austrian Alps, into Bavaria. Select alpine meadow hay botanicals within deliver fine grassy and floral aromas, also giving notes of green tea, chocolate, honey, and a hint of cinnamon. In cocktails, Alpeggio offers an expressive take on classics like the Vieux Carré or Poet’s Dream, adding a brighter, more aromatic profile. Enjoy neat, with soda or tonic, or mix with gin, white rum, rye whiskey, or alongside beer.

Antica Erboristeria Cappelletti, was first established in 1906. For most of their first century they were located in the historic Piazza Fiera in the center of Trento. Today they are located 20 km south of Trento in Aldeno, surrounded by vineyards and apple orchards. As the name would suggest, the firm was and is still today focused on products from traditional herbs, roots and flowers. They achieved fame in the region for their productions of amari and aperitivi, including the classic red bitter Aperitivo Cappelletti. All production is done in house by the fourth generation of the family, Luigi and Maddalena Cappelletti.
